FAQs
Q: Are these your only fabrics?
A: My Swatch Book has most of my fabcric inventory and is updated regularly. If you do not see what you're looking for, just let me know what you wanted and I will check to see if there are any other options that will meet your needs. The commission request form has a photo upload option so you can share an image of what you're looking for.
Q: How long does it take you to make something?
A: I include estimated lead times for all items. Since this is work I do on the side, I am not always able to devote as much time to crafting as I'd like. Most of the projects on this site can be completed in a short time frame and allows me to do my day job and still have time to make things for my clientele. If you have specific timing needs, just let me know in the PAFsews Order Form, and I will do my very best to accomdate.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: My prices for standard products are listed in the portfolio. Some prices are given as a range, and this depends on materials and decorative finishes that I will discuss with you after receiving the order.
Q: Will anything shrink in the wash?
A: I pre-wash my fabrics before working with them to prevent shrinking down the line. While this helps in most cases, some shrinking can occur with my products.
Q: Do you have anything already made?
A: Possibly! I often try new things and make items that I do not post online for sale. Just complete the inventory inquiry section of the PAFsews Order Form and I will contact you with any available options.
Q: Can you do custom projects?
A: Absolutely! I really enjoy customizing things to suit the needs of the user. Just complete the Special Request section of the PAFsews Order Form and I will contact you to discuss price, timing, and more in greater detail.
Q: Can I give you fabric to use for my commission?
A: Absolutely! There is nothing better than finding the perfect fabric. If you've found that fabric, I will be happy to turn it into your creation. I will provide you with a mailing address to send the fabric at the time of the commission agreement.
Q: What happens after I submit a PAFsews Order Form?
A: Once I receive the request, I will contact you with more information, including the price and estimated completion time.
Q: How much of each fabric do you have?
A: This is a great and very important question! For most of the fabrics in My Swatch Book, there is a very limited supply. Why is that? Well, in order to offer the most amount of variety, I buy Fat Quarters (FQ). These are pre-cut pieces of fabric that in essence, allows me to buy lots of different prints, but in smaller quantities than say a larger business. So, I've optimized some of my patterns to allow a single FQ to be enough material for the project. For example, a dog bandana, 3-piece travel zipper set, and a skull cap scrub cap can each be made with a FQ.
